Developed specifically for the experienced arborist, this freexion allows working on a single line in combination with a friction hitch. It is easy to install mid-line, and the active cam responds predictably. The Freexion is easy to use and can be adjusted to 3 different settings during the climb. Simply press the two buttons simultaneously with one hand and it clicks from medium to hard or soft. In the different settings, the Freexion will tilt further or less, providing more or less resistance.
When there is little pressure on the system, the Freexion can even be used to operate the sliding knot. This can be very handy during limb walking when extra friction is more of a burden than a help. This device is also very suitable for pick-off rescues (only for the trained and practiced climber).
The Freexion should only be used on EN 1891 certified ropes with a diameter between 11.5 and 12.5mm. The Freexion can be used with the Camp Sphinx and the DMM Hitchclimber.
